Our founder, Kokichi Mikimoto, was known as the Pearl King because he dedicated his life to pearls. He made history in 1893 when he successfully created the world's first farmed pearls. Since then, his lifetime desire of "adorning the necks of all women across the world with pearls" has been carried on by Mikimoto, a corporation committed to the pursuit of beauty for almost a century.
